Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA)

Career Development Resource - Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA)

What is SFIA?

SFIA describes the skills required by IT professionals in various roles. This framework has become a globally accepted common language for the skills and competencies required in the digital world. It allows individuals and organisations to form a common language to define skill, abilities and expertise in a consistent way.

Benefits of using the SFIA framework:

  • Creating a clearer understanding of professional skills and levels
  • A clear view of  skills to develop and training needs
  • Internal recognition of skills and expertise

Who can help with using the SFIA frame work?
