Message from Martin Bellamy, Director of Information Services

The new University Information Services (UIS) organisation formally came into existence on 31 March 2014, and initially incorporates the former University Computing Service and the Management Information Services Division. The High Performance Computing Service (HPCS) will join UIS by 1 August 2014.

University Information Services location

Most UIS staff are based in the Roger Needham building (pictured above) on the West University site. Teaching classrooms and user areas, a service desk, a video conferencing suite and the Photography and Illustration Service remain on the New Museums site.

2014/15 students to benefit from early access to their UIS accounts

UIS has completed work to allow students (undergraduates and graduates) access to authenticated University services before their arrival at Cambridge. They will be able to collect their UIS computing accounts as part of the Student Registration process.
