Chancellor officially opens the West Cambridge Data Centre

The Chancellor officially opened the University's state-of-the-art data centre, which is enabling Cambridge researchers to contribute to some ground-breaking global research initiatives including The Square Kilometer Array, the NHS' 100,000 Genomes Project, and the Planck Satellite.

University Information Services location

Most UIS staff are based in the Roger Needham building (pictured above) on the West Cambridge site. Teaching classrooms and user areas, a service desk, a video conferencing suite and the Photography and Illustration Service remain on the New Museums site.
