New self-service password recovery feature for UIS Passwords

last modified Apr 25, 2018 02:28 PM
You can now reset your UIS Password using a token sent via email or text message.

You'll need to nominate a recovery email address or mobile phone number (or both) and set up at least two security questions. The answers to your security questions should be information that only you know and that wouldn't be easy to find online (for example, avoid things that you might have posted on Facebook or other social media sites).

If you'd prefer not to use the self-service feature, or if you forget the answers to your security questions, you’ll still be able to reset your UIS Password in person by visiting our Service Desk with proof of identity (such as your University card or other photo ID). Many Departments and Colleges also offer this service – contact your local IT support team for further details.

If you have any queries about self-service password recovery, please contact the Service Desk.
