Delivery Manager

Are you looking for a delivery role that gives you the opportunity to make your mark on one the world's top Universities? The University of Cambridge is looking for a Delivery Manager to support teams in delivering digital projects and services for the University.

Who you'll be working with

We're part of the Delivery Management Office. We work closely with tech leads, developers, business analysts service management from UIS as well as subject matter experts across the university to coordinate and drive delivery. Increasingly we are introducing product management and user research, and you may work with these and other disciplines too depending on the teams and services you're involved in supporting. Initially this role is likely to be working on reporting across HR data, supporting our HR Transformation Programme.

What you will do

We have a range of work starting soon or in process that we need help with.

You will have experience managing digital products and services through the full lifecycle as a delivery manager and/or scrum master. You'll have worked as part of a cross-functional in-house team supporting the delivery of third-party and internal products. You'll have experience with a range of agile frameworks and methods in a digital setting and will be comfortable helping teams adapt to help them focus on delivery. You will be able to build relationships at all levels with experience of influencing and negotiating with key stakeholders to achieve goals.

We support flexible and family-friendly working and are open to non-standard working patterns. Main Responsibilities

  • Provide user support for timetabling and booking systems.
  • Perform annual system maintenance & configuration activities.
  • Ensure that systems and procedural documentation is maintained and accurate.
  • Triage helpdesk tickets for timetabling and booking systems.
  • Perform business analysis and requirements gathering for changes and projects.
  • Scope projects and engage in the project planning.
  • Research options and propose solutions for projects.
  • Support project implementations, user training and onboarding activities.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Hands-on experience in lecture timetable creation and maintenance.
  • Business analysis, requirements gathering or change management (ideal but not essential).
  • Administrative background with general knowledge of IT systems (ideal but not essential).
  • Enthusiastic self-starter with a keen interest in learning new technologies.
  • Positive customer focused attitude.
  • Comfortable navigating and finding solutions.
  • Comfortable with analysis of large data sets and reporting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Degree (2:1 or higher) or equivalent work experience.
